We were preparing from the previous night for the BIG event in Hyderabad. The Airtel Hyderabad Marathon 2013 –

We reached the starting point at 4 am. Many of us did not sleep the previous night just to be on time-

Other participants and organizers were having fun –

The royal band was ready to welcome us –

Flash mob has created enough excitement among the crowd –

As the marathon events started –

SIF team has made their presence felt at the ground zero –

Other people started noticing us –

The full marathon and the relay one was flagged off before 5:30 am. 6am the half marathon was flagged off and our team was still present there –

Hyderabad SP arrived there and flagged off the half marathon. He had 168 marathon runners running in the competition –

Once the last race was flagged off, we have set out for our next destination –

Escorted by police and the royal band –

Everybody wanted to be with us, follow us, take a snap with us. But it was not possible to keep every request –

..and then we set out on our bikes for next destination. IRBM being on top of our agenda –

Our bike ride, activism with a difference and LOTS of fun

Some of those moments were sealed in frames for good.

We traveled all 42 kilometers on our bikes, displaying placards and our banner and that itself was huge publicity.

Going in parallel with the runners along the hi-tech city road was fun and experience of a lifetime –

When we reached the stadium, we were not sure how to continue the awareness so we started in a small way –

..and made it bigger –

….and bigger

and got noticed by many –

They stopped by –

took pictures –

and eventually started taking our interviews –

We couldn’t count how many took our photos or wanted to take our interviews. But one such interview is here [watch from 12:46 to 18:00]-

But then our last runner has reached the stadium.

It was time to be with him and the running team –

To celebrate that we have finished our marathon with grace –

And proved once again that we can –

As we left the stadium after the event was over –

and as the stadium employees became busy in making it ready for next event-

We retired for the day ~

Leaving behind a beautiful stadium complex –

Only to make a promise…that we will be back soon.
